Instructions for Downloading and Reading Your E-Book

Once you've purchased an ebook bundle, you will receive an email with download links for two ebook formats: .mobi (for Kindle) and .epub. Choose the format that is used by your favorite e-reading device.

How you want to read your ebook is up to you:

  • Do you want to read it on your computer screen (desktop or laptop)?
  • Do you want to print a version of your E-Book?
  • Do you want to read your E-Book on your eReader, tablet or phone?

Or perhaps you want to read your E-Book in more than one way - at home and on the move? Use the following instructions to read your e-books, or feel free to use the Web to search out other reading methods based on the available file- formats.

We try to keep these instructions updated, but e-readers are continually evolving. If you encounter difficulties, please let us know at info@sportsfanbooks.com, and we'll do our best to help you get up and running.

Desktop or laptop computer:

Reading your ebook on your laptop or desktop computer, as well as printing from your computer, is easy. We suggest using the ePUB file that was included with your purchase.

There are quite a few software programs for reading ePUB files. Adobe Digital Editions, which is free, will provide the best experience—if you don’t already have this software on your computer, you can download it from here:

Amazon Kindle:

The easiest way to put one of our ebooks on your Kindle is to download it and then transfer it to your Kindle device. If you'd like to have multiple formats of your E-Book so that you can read it on more than just a Kindle - say on your desktop or laptop - or if you'd like to print a version, then we suggest that you go to your online Library and then download and transfer the Kindle version of the file to your Kindle device.

There are now two ways to transfer your E-Book from your computer to your Kindle:

Via email:

  •  Under "Settings" on your Kindle, you can find your device's email, to which you can send documents.
  • If you haven't already done so, you will need to authorize whatever email you are sending from (if you want to download the document and then email it yourself, that will be your own email). You will also need to have the maximum charge on Whispersync Delivery set to 30 cents or more (Amazon charges for its document emailing service by file size). You can do both these things on the Amazon Web site on the "Manage Your Kindle" area under "Personal Document Settings."
  • If you want to send from your own email, just click the regular "Download" button next to the MOBI E-Book file. Then send the downloaded ".mobi" document to your Kindle's email as an attachment.

Via USB connector

  • Turn your Kindle on and connect it to your computer using the USB cable it came with.
  • Drag and drop the ".mobi" file into the documents folder on your Kindle.
  • When the USB activity indicator on your Kindle stops flashing, "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device" (Windows) or "Eject" (Mac) the Kindle from your computer, then unplug the USB cable. The ebook you purchased should now appear in your Kindle library.

If you purchase directly from our website on your Kindle Fire, you will have to connect your device to your computer to add the book to your collection for viewing on your computer or download the e-book from your online Library directly to your computer.
